SBCR is committed to developing a competitive and rewarding junior racing team.

We teach in a co-ed environment for middle school and high school students throughout Santa Barbara County. Practices are designed to challenge each individual physically and mentally in preparation for fall and spring competitions.  Our unique approach includes regular practices and skill building drills along with regular race simulations. Saturday practice the juniors row alongside our Masters competitive group, allowing for community building and development of race mindsets. These "race days" are integral in implementing what is learned daily in fast-paced, race-day moments and pay dividends when it comes to competing in regattas.

Rowing also has some of the highest percentages of athletic scholarships offered to boys and girls of any sport.  If rowing in college is of interest, our coaches will provide guidance on how to prepare for the recruiting process.

Cost of program does not include additional expenses for race entries fees, trailer fees and travel to regattas are expected. For multi-day races, all efforts will be made by coach to arrange for a block of hotel rooms.
